I was on my way out for lunch to Toa Payoh hub this afternoon when my colleagues and I passed buy a group of school kids. Two of them were wearing full white uniform. And six of them (4 guys, two girls) were looking on at one of their male friends whacking the shit out of a poor defenseless girl. It was such a horrific sight. My heart hammered against my chest because I was feeling everything at once. I was so furious at the guy, afraid and sympathetic for the girl, and sad that this is what things have become. My colleagues and I just stopped and stared for a while, and one of them called the police. I was in shock and felt nauseous when the guy kicked the girl in her stomach when she was down. I just... stared. And the lady told us to call the police, which we already did, and she took a photo with her camera phone.
One of the boys saw, and he yelled at us, "Oi, my face nice is it, fucking kanina!" And then he threatened us something. Then I realized my comrades have left me... So I scurried over to them.
Then I heard a loud thwack, and I turned and the boy was slapping the victim. Hard.
We went over to Delifrance, but suddenly I wasn't hungry.
Because I don't understand people. And maybe I don't WANT to understand people. I hope I won't go to Hell for wishing that the boy and his friends would get arrested for some nonsense, get themselves killed, get runover by a speeding truck, or just overdose on drugs.
